A SCORNED WOMAN

They say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, I say heaven hath no fury like a scorned woman who is still smilling. Just ask Mr. Mbedzi, who is from Bulawayo. His wife fed him a meal of dead cat meat with faeces after she caught him cheating. The wife pleaded with the wife and was convinced by the smiling wife that he had been forgiven. The then "forgiving" wife proceeded to prepare a nice meal for the husband and that is when he ended up gobbling a delicacy of dead cat meat stew and dog faeces. The cat had been hit by a passing vehicle and lay dead in the road when she had the idea.

“I realised that I could not fight him because he is stronger nor could I exchange words with him because he is more of a talker than me, so I used his weakness for meat to teach him a good sized lesson, ” said Mrs Mbedzi.
The scorned wife said she did not regret cooking the “meal from hell” because her husband had betrayed her trust.

Yes, u guessed it right, she fed him while smiling and then proceeded to let it "slip" that she had fed him the meal.
“Yes, I ate the stew, my wife only told me afterwards what it was but then it was already too late. Her revelation made me vomit but i understand her motive and I forgave her. But its not justified because I have never had an affair in my life, I am a God-fearing man and I love my wife so dearly,” said Mr Mbedzi.

Again, what is it they say about the devil wearing prada?

THOU SHALT NOT PISS OFF KENYANS

This is a lesson that CNN reporter, David Mckenzie has learnt the hard way. Twitter is awash with the critism of Kenyans over the CNN reporting that Kenya is at war. The broadcaster highlighted Kenya as a country experiencing violence. The US-based network used a banner with a scorching Kenyan flag and used the word "Violence in Kenya."

Some of the tweets read:
#someonetellCnn that Mpesa is bigger than Western Union, Thika Road is wider than wallstreet and Kenyans love peace.
One hillarious one read that #someonetellCNN that Makmende is coming to get them
while another one said that #someonetellCNN that SK Macharia can buy (CNN) and turn it into a 24-hour Africa movies channel.
The unfortunate incident which happened at the ever-busy Machakos Country Bus Station has seen about 5 people succum to death.
The CNN reporter, David Mckenzie tweeted and apologized saying that "apologies to all. Our reporting last night was accurate, the banner was not."
Obviously, he forgot the power of social media and Kenyans have waged a "social media war" against CNN.
All I can tell Mr. McKenzie is "do not piss off Kenyans. We are very protective of our country."

WAHU DOES IT AGAIN...AWESOME PIECE..:-)

ARE KENYAN MEN LOSING THEIR MASCULINITY?

First it was tight jeans, then came t-shirts with plunging neck-lines, and now, its the bright coloured shoes that men wear. Yes, you guessed it right, men are competing with women when it comes to femininity. Need I talk about the facials, manicures and pedicures that men are going for nowadays?

Before you jump on me and call me a feminist, look at this scenario. A man was (a few years back) expected to be the breadwinner of the family. You know, the masculine one? The one who protected the woman and his family from predators, devils(yes, he was expected to have this supernatural power that could conquer anything). Fast forward a few years later, namely 2009 and beyond. The man of the house is too engrossed in his looks. Salon appointments, shopping (a past-time associated with the female folk) and to make matters worse, the clothes they come home with after shopping would confuse you. As a woman, am I not the one expected to be in figure-hugging clothes?

So, there is your 21st century man. What defines his calendar? Shopping, salon-visits, and his looks. In as much as we want a well-groomed man, we still need men who can stand out in society and be counted. A man who is "masculine", not necessarily in the physical sense but in the sense that he steps up when he is called up to be a "man".

When I was a kid, girls played with dolls and makeup while the boys engaged in more "macho" toys like cars, toy-guns etc. Even when it came to dressing up, the boys dressed up like Spiderman, Superman, Zorro and many other masculine icons. It is a pity when we grow up and the toys that they play with seem to be changing. Make-up and the mirror seem to be what the men are engrossed in.

I am not saying that grooming for males is bad, but it is a problem when looks take centre stage for a man. When a man spends more time in front of a mirror than a woman does, when he puts on pants that are figure-hugging and defining his form, when he puts on t-shirts with a plunging neckline, then one is left to wonder, does a man have a cleavage to show off?

Where are the "men" in society? The men who would get down to work without worrying about his manicured nails? The men who would stand up and defend himself when he is under attack? How do we entrust the men to defend us in times of crisis when they cannot defend themselves?
